Redmi 7A with Snapdragon 439 SoC, 4,000mAh battery Launched in India: Price, Specifications


Xiaomi India has launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone from its Redmi A series. The new smartphone is the Redmi 7A which is the successor of the Redmi 6A smartphone that was launched back in September 2018. The company has already launched this smartphone in Chine in May, this year. Now, the company has moved to its one of the biggest market in the world. Key features of Redmi 7A includes 5.45-inch HD display, powered by SD 439 SoC, and is fuelled by 4,000mAh battery. Let’s take a closer look to the Redmi 7A smartphone.

Redmi 7A Specifications

The all-new Redmi 7A sports a 5.45-inch Full-HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) notch-less screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. Similar to the Redmi Note series, the screen of Redmi 7A is curved on the edges.

Under the hood, Redmi 7A is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor, clocked at 2.0GHz. Furthermore, this smartphone comes in two variants – 2GB/16GB variant and 3GB/32GB variant. In both of the options, the storage is expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card.

In the camera department, the Redmi 7A comes with a single 12-megapixel rear camera with IMX486 sensor onboard. While at the front, it includes a 5-megapixel front shooter with AI Face Unlock support. The rear camera will soon get AI scene detection with the OTA updates.

Apart from this, Redmi 7A comes with rich connectivity options as it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, integrated FM antenna, and a Micro-USB port. In addition, Redmi 7A has P2i splash-resistant coating to give it protection from splash and dust. Also, this phone is fuelled by 4,000mAh battery and has 10W charging support.

Redmi 7A Price and Availability

As for the price, the base variant of Redmi 7A with 2GB + 16GB storage is priced at Rs. 5,999, while the top variant with 2GB + 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 6,199. 

As for the availability, the phone will kick off on its first sale on July 11 via, Mi Stores, and Flipkart. This will also be available via major offline stores across the country.
