Redmi 7 with Snapdragon 632 and Dual-Camera Setup Launched in India: Price and Specifications


Along with the launch of Redmi Y3, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 7 smartphone which was previously launched in China. Redmi 7 was first launched in China last month. Xiaomi has again delivered a great combination of specs under a great price segment. However, the best thing in the Redmi 7 is its Aura Smoke gradient design which gives it a magnificent look.

Redmi 7 Specifications

The all-new Redmi 7 features a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) resolution display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It sports a waterdrop notch at the front and a physical fingerprint sensor at the back panel. Under the hood, Redmi 7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC which is further coupled with 2GB/3GG RAM options. Also, it comes in two storage variants – 16GB and 32GB which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card.

In terms of Camera setup, Redmi 7 houses a dual camera setup at the back panel which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for Selfies, Video calling, and Face recognization. The camera of Redmi 7 comes with different AI features including AI beautifications and more.

Furthermore, Redmi 7 runs on MIUI 10 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box. Also, this phone is rich in connectivity options as it includes dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR) blaster and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, this phone houses a huge 4,000mAh battery.

Redmi 7 Price and Availability

Redmi 7 in India launched at a price starting from Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant, while the 2GB RAM/32GB storage variant costs Rs. 8,999.

As for the availability, Redmi 7 will be made available starting from  April 29 via Amazon India,, and Mi Home stores and will be available in three color options – Dream Blue, Cherry Red, and Bright Black.
