Xiaomi has revealed the new Redmi 7 which is its another budget-friendly smartphone in China. Along with this phone, Xiaomi has also launched Redmi Note 7 Pro in China which made its first global debut in India last month. Redmi 7 shares almost similar specifications and look as that of its predecessors. While the Chinese version of Redmi Note 7 Pro is a bit different from the Indian version. Let’s take deeper details on both of them.
Redmi 7: Specifications
The all-new Redmi 7 features a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) resolution display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It sports a waterdrop notch at the front and a physical fingerprint sensor at the back panel. Under the hood, Redmi 7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC which is further coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM options. Also, it comes in three storage variants – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card.
In terms of Camera setup, Redmi 7 houses a dual camera setup at the back panel which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for Selfies, Video calling, and Face recognization. The camera of Redmi 7 comes with different AI features including AI beautifications and more.
Furthermore, Redmi 7 runs on MIUI 10 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box. Also, this phone is rich in connectivity options as it includes dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR) blaster and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, this phone houses a huge 4,000mAh battery.
Redmi Note 7 Pro: Specifications
As mentioned above, the Chinese model of Redmi Note 7 Pro is a bit different from the Indian version. Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch FullHD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch at the front. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC based on 11nm fabrication process and is coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. However, the mean difference in the Chinese and Indian version is, In China, Redmi Note 7 Pro is only available in 6GB and 128GB variant unlike to the India where it is available in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants.
Apart from this, it houses the same dual rear camera setup at the back. Out of these two cameras, there is a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 lens and another is a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. At the front, there is 13-megapixel selfie camera sits inside the notch.
Furthermore, Redmi 7 runs on MIUI 10 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box. Redmi 7: Price and Availability
The Redmi 7 is starting at a price tag of CNY 699 (Rs 7,100 approx) for 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variants. The 3GB+32GB variants cost CNY 799 (Rs 8,200 approx) and at the last, the 4GB+64GB options is priced at CNY 999 (Rs 10,200).
Redmi 7 will be available in three colors – Dream Blue, Cherry Red, and Bright Black. However, Xiaomi hasn’t specified about the availability of this phone.
Redmi Note 7 Pro: Price and Availability
Redmi Note 7 Pro will be available at a price tag of CNY 1,599 (Rs 16,990) and will be going live on sale in China from March 22.
