Redmi has confirmed to launch Redmi 10, a budget-friendly 5G smartphone which is scheduled to launch on May 26 in China. However, before it actually launches the phone, the brand has tipped some of the features of the phone on Weibo.
Today, the company released a teaser video of the phone confirming that the phone will come with AMOLED display, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and MIUI 12. The teaser video also suggests that the Redmi 10X will be the first phone from the company to feature MIUI 12 out of the box. The video showcases Super Wallpaper and AOD+ dynamic styles on the handset.
Looking forward to the shared teaser, it looks like the render shared by the brand is of Redmi 10X Pro with model number M2004J7BC since the regular Redmi 10X (M2004J7AC) is expected to feature triple camera setup according to TENAA unlike quad-camera found in the render.
Also, the Redmi 10X will be the first phone to use the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset. That chip supports dual SIM, dual standby functionality on 5G, allowing both SIM cards to be connected at the same time.
As for the price, the Redmi 10X is tipped to be the cheapest 5G-powered smartphone. As of now, the cheapest 5G handset in China is the recently announced Honor X10 that starts at 1,899 Yuan (approx $267). So, we could expect a price tag below that bar.
