Realme has taken an event today in Delhi where the company launched two of its much-awaited gadgets – Realme X2 and Realme Buds Air in India. The launch event was handled by the company’s India CEO Madhav Sheth who claimed that Realme X2 Pro and Realme 5s have received positive feedback from the consumers. Sheth revealed that Realme UI that is based on ColorOS 7 and coming to the company’s smartphones will bring a bright and dynamic look, clean UI, and redesigned icons.
Sheth revealed Realme will focus on the connected ecosystem in 2020, the four pillars of which are smartphones, software, IoT products, and accessories. In the same event, the company announced the Realme Paysa platform that is the company’s financial services platform. It will offer lending, savings and protection, payments, and financial tools.
Realme X2 Specifications
The all-new Realme X2 comes with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display features a waterdrop-style notch. It’s a dual SIM phone supporting two nano-SIM cards. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and it features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the Realme X2 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G Processor. The phone comes in two variants – 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB configurations. Additionally, there is an option to expand the storage capacity up to 512GB via an external MicroSD card. The 8GB/128GB variant comes with UFS 2.1 storage technology.
In the imaging department, the Realme X2 comes with a quad-rear camera setup that includes a 64 Megapixel of Primary Sensor, an 8 Megapixel of Secondary Sensor, 2 Megapixel depth sensor and 2 Megapixel macro sensor. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. For extra-sharp videos, both the sensors i.e. the front and the rear sensors feature Electronic Image Stabilization.
Apart from this, The phone comes with all the basic connectivity features such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, etc. It also features the standard 3.5 mm, Audio Jack. The device is backed by a 4,000 mAh of battery that supports 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. It recharges your mobile phone in just a few minutes.
Realme Buds Air Specifications
Sheth then called Realme’s Sreehari on the stage to detail the Realme Buds Air. These are the company’s first truly wireless earbuds. The Realme Buds Air comes with features like auto-connection, Google fast pair protocol support, low-latency, dual-channel real-time transmission, gaming mode, two microphones, and a 12mm bass boost driver.
Realme Buds Air also comes with intelligent touch and easy control. The earbuds offer 3 hours of music playback on a single charge that can be increased to 17 hours using the extra charge in the charging case. The Realme Buds Ear support wireless charging as well as regular cable using the USB Type-C port. These earbuds will be offered in three color options and work with both Android phones and iPhone models.
Realme Paysa Financial App Launch
Realme Paysa will include services like lending, savings products, payments, and financial tools. It is being launched in beta today as an app via Google Play Store. The app will be offered to all Android phone users and it will come pre-loaded on Realme phones.
Sridhar revealed that the Realme Paysa beta version will provide free credit reports to its users three times. The users of the app will also be able to get personal loans up to Rs. 100,000 with a completely digital process using minimum documents. Loans over Rs. 100,000, additional documentation will be needed and physical verification. Realme Paysa will also offer business loans up to Rs. 500,000 with minimal documentation. Additionally, the app’s beta version includes phone screen insurance service.
According to Sridhar, Realise Paysa data will be stored in India and will use the highest standards of data security.
Realme X2, Buds Air Price and Availability
As for the price, the Realme X2 price starts at Rs. 16,999 for the base 4GB + 64GB variant and goes up to Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. On the other hand, the Realme Buds Air will retail at Rs. 3,999 in the country.
As for the availability, the first sale of Realme X2 and Realme Buds Air will take place on December 20 at 12 noon and December 23 at 12 noon respectively via Flipkart and Realme.com.
