Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform Announced with Triple Camera Support and Smart AI Features


Qualcomm has announced its all-new Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform at its 4G/5G Summit 2018 at Hong Kong. This new chipset is built with 11nm LPP process technology and it was claimed to be the improved version of the Snapdragon 670 SoC. The big-time highlights of Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 is enhanced gaming, imaging and AI features specially built for mid-range smartphones.

The Snapdragon 675 follows the announcement in August of the 10nm Snapdragon 670 processor. The Snapdragon 670 powered some famous smartphones from leading manufacturers such as OPPO R17, Vivo X23 and Vivo Z3. It has done an impressive job powering up these smartphones, and we must take note that the new Snapdragon 675 is built to surpass the Snapdragon 670 as mentioned above.

The new Snapdragon 675 SoC is claimed to perform 30% faster game launch time and 35% faster web browsing compared to the Snapdragon 670 SoC. The chipset was built with the older Spectra 250 ISP with triple camera setup to offer improved imaging. The result is its support for 4K video recording at 30 fps, and a 4K video playback.

As for connectivity, The Snapdragon 675 is equipped with Snapdragon X12 LTE modem offering up to 600Mbps download speeds and up to 150Mbps upload speeds. It also supports dual SIM dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 2×2 MIMO & Bluetooth 5.0.

As mentioned above, the Snapdragon 675 will also offer an enhanced gaming performance with the high-end game titles. It is built with hardware and software optimizations to produce a smoother gaming experience, it can even run games at 60 fps. To give you a longer gaming time and more efficient charging time, the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology is implemented in the Snapdragon 675.
