Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 765, Snapdragon 765G with 5G support


At Qualcomm’s annual tech summit, the company has announced its Snapdragon 765 and 765G 5G mobile platform for mid-rangers and Snapdragon 865 that is the flagship mobile Soc. The new Snapdragon 865 will power in the premium-end Android smartphones in 2020.

If we talk about the upcoming premium-end Android-powered smartphones, we might get to see the Snapdragon 865 Chipset on the Samsung Galaxy S11 series, Xiaomi Mi 10, OnePlus 8.

The other two chips will be using the 5G modems means the devices powering either of these chips will support the 5G connectivity. These chipsets will be used by the manufacturers for their upper-mid-range Android devices.

Qualcomm has just introduced their new range of Chipsets during its Qualcomm Annual Summit 2019. More details on these Chipsets will be released tomorrow.

What we know so far about these new chipsets is they all be supporting the 5G connectivity as they are designed with 5G modem’s compatibility. Moreover, they will come with AI capabilities so the devices will have more powerful features and functions with the latest Artificial Intelligence technology.

The flagship mobile SoC i.e. Snapdragon 865 is the company’s fifth AI Engine that is more powerful than its predecessor and capable to of doing 15 Tera Operations Per Second. If we compare the performance of this Chipset, then we will get 2X faster performance than the predecessor i.e. the fourth-generation AI engine.

Apart from this, if we talk about the compatibility, the new generation Qualcomm’s Chipset can support cameras with a resolution of up to 200 Megapixels.

Furthermore, the devices using this chipset can shoot 8K videos at 30fps. One can use the 4K resolution and capture high-quality images with normal 64 Megapixel lens from the Phone’s native camera app. All the settings will be provided within the native camera app of the device.

For professional gamers, the new Chipset will come with the Snapdragon Elite Gaming. The company claims that the new processor will provide up to 25% faster speed than the previous processor while playing high-graphical games. The Snapdragon 65G is specially designed for gamers.
