PS5’s New Technology to Allow Scene Tagging Using Share System

We all know that Sony’s next-generation gaming console, the PlayStation 5 features a powerful customized AMD Zen 2 architecture processor with a solid-state drive. Now, today’s official patent filed by Sony showcases that the company is developing a brand-new technology that would allow real-time Scene Tagging.

The new patent was also shared online and you could see the patent in the given image below. This is a new technology called share tagging which could be seen by the gamers on the new PlayStation 5 console.

The very first patent from Sony was filed on November 21st at the US Patent Office. The first patent was spotted by RespawnFirst who is a popular leakster on the gaming niche. The latest patent contains the future plans of Sony and all the new technologies that could be introduced in the latest PlayStation 5 console.

The new Shared Tagging technology could come as a tool and it will allow the users to share content with other gamers through scene tagging technology. The tool characterize scene generator and other content. This content section will include all the details about the gameplay and related videos which could be explored by the game even before starting the game on the console.

This will be entirely user-generated contents. The library includes the screenshots of the games as well as video recordings. All the fresh video recordings and related contents will be kept in this content library for that particular game.

According to the description, the new technology is designed to work with the function of the upcoming PlayStation 5. This technology works similarly as the share button found on the PlayStation 4. The description also says that the new scene tagging feature will be much more sophisticated than the screen recording or screen grabbing.

Instead of taking the screenshots, it will be easier for the users to use this new scene tagging feature so that other games can easily start watching the scene where you have tagged them.

Unfortunately, there is no much information leaked on the PlayStation 5. However, the new console is set to be released in the Holiday season of the coming year i.e. 2020.
