If you manage to pre-order a PS5 during the June 23 pre-orders that begin at noon, you should get your PS5 from July 3 onwards. Several retailers speaking to IGN India on condition of anonymity claim that Sony has said any pre-orders taken should reach customers in the first week of July.
While Sony does not comment on restocks, keep in mind that at times the company has shipped PS5 units to retailers early. In the past, we’ve seen orders fulfilled in a day or two after going up for sale and it’s likely that we may see some of this play out again. This would make a first week of July range essentially a guideline of sorts for retail on what to tell customers and how to keep their expectations in check.
Interestingly, quantities for this PS5 restock are on the lower side. Our sources tell us that game stores have got fewer consoles versus the last two restocks in May. Perhaps Sony is still assessing the ongoing lockdown scenario in the country due to covid-19 before ensuring wider availability.
The PS5 India restock pre-order time is 12pm much like past efforts. This follows IGN India’s report stating that the PS5 would be available for pre-order again this month. Sony has told stores not to force buyers to purchase additional games or accessories along with their PS5.
Expect it to be available on Amazon and Flipkart as well as Vijay Sales. You can check out the full list of stores right here. There’s a list of retailers to avoid buying your PS5 from as well, based on IGN reader feedback.
