Facebook is launching a new app for Instagram called Reels. The app is almost identical to popular social media app TikTok.
President Donald Trump’s campaign has joined TikTok competitor Triller and the campaign’s first video on the rising video platform had nearly 1.2 million views as of noon Sunday.
In the 15-second video, Trump says he’s a “professional at technology” and “nobody can do it like me. Nobody.”
The new and verified account is believed to have been created on Saturday, media outlets including Fox Business reported. On Friday, Trump ordered ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, to sell or spin off its U.S. assets within 90 days, citing national security concerns.
Trump had about 5,900 Triller followers Sunday, the app shows, and posted two other videos about presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

TikTok executive order: Trump orders TikTok to sell U.S. assets within 90 days, citing national security concerns
Triller did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment.
In the executive order released late Friday, Trump warned of “credible evidence” that ByteDance “might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States.”
TikTok said in a statement to USA TODAY Friday that it was “committed to continuing to bring joy to families and meaningful careers to those who create on our platform for many years to come.”
Triller, the 5-year-old, AI-driven entertainment platform, has been growing in popularity amid the talk of a TikTok ban.
“If TikTok does get banned, we will probably take their place,” Triller CEO Mike Lu recently said, noting the platform saw its “servers literally blow up” the weekend of Aug. 8-9 as people flocked to it after Trump issued the first executive order to ban TikTok and WeChat in 45 days on Aug. 6.
Several TikTok-famous creatives, including Josh Richards, Griffin Johnson and Noah Beck, have announced that they’ve made the move to Triller.
