Prepare for Sleepless Nights with the Striking ‘Cobweb’ Poster Debut

Horror enthusiasts are in for an extraordinary treat today as Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer and poster for their spine-chilling new film, “Cobweb.” Directed by Samuel Bodin (known for “T.A.N.K.”), this thrilling ride is set to send shivers down your spine. The newly released poster showcases the haunting nightmare that confronts a young boy within the confines of his own home.

The poster depicts Woody Norman’s character, Peter, peacefully sleeping on his bed, unaware of the sinister presence hunched over him. This terrifying entity holds him tightly with a ghostly hand adorned with long, sharp nails. As the film’s narrative unfolds mainly in Peter’s room, it is fitting that today’s poster highlights what should be his sanctuary. The background features filtered light streaming in through a window, and a clock displaying the eerie time of 11:21. Though its significance is not yet clear, the numbers on the clock may hold a clue to an important aspect of the plot.

“Cobweb” promises to keep audiences guessing until its gripping conclusion. The story introduces us to Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr as Peter’s parents, who become increasingly frustrated with their son’s recurring nightmares. The patient and caring Miss Devine, played by Cleopatra Coleman, notices that something is amiss in Peter’s life, prompting her to launch her own investigation into the family’s secrets. As the film’s tagline warns, “Sooner or later, family secrets creep out,” suggesting that there is much more than meets the eye within the confines of their home.

The film marks Bodin’s debut in feature-length filmmaking, with a screenplay by Chris Thomas Devlin. Roy Lee, known for his work on hits like “Barbarian” and “It,” serves as the producer alongside Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, Andrew Childs, Josh Fagen, and James Weaver. The cast includes Antony Starr and Lizzy Caplan, known for their roles in “The Boys” and “The Covenant,” respectively. Emmy Award-nominee Cleopatra Coleman, who recently brought a new kind of terror in “Infinity Pool,” adds another layer of intrigue. Additionally, fourteen-year-old Woody Norman, who garnered a BAFTA nomination for his performance in Mike Mills’ “C’mon C’mon,” delivers a standout performance.

“Cobweb” will hit theaters on July 21, where it will vie for attention alongside Greta Gerwig’s eagerly anticipated film, “Barbie.” Get ready for an experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Check out the chilling poster below.
