The Pokemon Summer Tour is without a doubt, a very successful one. Just about today, this event just finally stepped on its climax as the Pokemon Summer Tour just started to go live in Yokosuka, Japan and will last until September 2, 2018. This event takes place in three different popular city parks, at Mikasa, Verny, and Kurihama. During this five-day long event, participants and players all over the world will go on an adventure together to complete Professor Willow’s Challenge Filed Research Task, open the exiting bonus reward and get a close chance to Ultra Bonus Unlock.
This Summer Tour event has started on June 30 in Dormund, Germany, and the players all over the countries and continents like America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and at the Asia Pacific region have successfully completed the Research Tasks given to them. The mentioned players got a 3-hour window or the Articuno Day on July 7, to catch one of the Legendary Pokemons, Articuno. Not just that, players also unlocked some XP bonuses for catching a pokemon, hatching eggs, and of course, participating in raid battles.
On July 14, 2018, the second part of the event went on action in Lincoln Park, Chicago, and also the massive players all over the world has completed the different research tasks and unlocked the second bonus reward, the legendary pokemon known as Zapdos. Players also had their chance to get 2X Candy when catching and hatching Pokemons, Rare Candy on raids, and quicker Egg hatching as token or extra bonuses.
The most awaited climax, starting from August 29 until September 2 as mentioned above, will be the last part of the tour featuring lots of new bonuses, bonus rewards, and an Ultra Bonus for the lucky ones. As per the confirmation of Niantic, the final round of Professor Willow’s challenge will take place from September 1 to 2.
Just to make things clear, we will mention the following tasks that the participants from Yokosuka, America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions must complete for them to be able to open the Bonus Reward:
- Pokemon Go Safari Zone – Complete 100,000 Research Tasks
- Europe, the Middle East, and Africa – Complete 5,000,000 Research Tasks
- The Americas – Complete 5,000,000 Research Tasks
- The Asia-Pacific region- Complete 5,000,000 Research Tasks
After a successful completion of these tasks, players can now unlock a new bonus reward by the pattern of (Artic-UNO, Zap-DOS, Mol-TRES), Moltres will be the expected one to be the next Legendary Pokemon that will be featured. If players will successfully manage to complete the Field Research Tasks, a new Ultra Bonus will take place in action. We can expect a huge surprise for this Ultra Bonus, as a lot of unconfirmed and unleaked rumors say that:
- The debut of Gen 4 – starters, evolution etc.
- Ex Raid Passes for everyone and the release of Mewtwo’s shiny form
- Regional Pokemon swap, or to be available for everyone
