Pokemon Go Lunar New Year 2020 Announced


Pokemon Go has announced the new year’s Pokemon Go Lunar New Year 2020 event. The new Pokemon Go event adds two new Pokemon and focuses on the Red Pokemon only. The same event is combined with a special Minccino special research.

Starting from January 24, at 1 PM PST, the Lunar New Year 2020 event kicks off. The event period is ten days that means you can get to hunt down the two new pokemons during this event. As noted above, several species of Red Pokemon will appear more frequently.

If we talk about the Pokemon that will show up more frequently throughout the event period is Charmeleon, Vulpix, Parasect, Voltorb, Jynx, Magmar, Magikarp, Flareon, Slugma, Wurmple, Corphish, Kricketot, and Foongus. Those of you who are lucky enough will get a chance to hunt down the Shiny red Gyarados. Darumaka will hatch from 7 km Eggs.

Apart from the specialized Pokemon, a lot of extra bonuses will also be included for the players. During the event period, players will be able to gain more lucky friends, more lucky trades, rare candies and gifts.

If we talk about the Research program, it will be limited research that lets you encounter Minccino. A new Shiny Minccino is a unique thing that you will encounter during the event time. Apart from this, Minccino will be hatching more frequently from 5 km Eggs.

All the rat themed pokemons will appear more frequently and you can have a chance to bring more of them to your list.

The event will begin from Friday, January 24, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, February 3, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).
