PlayStation 5: Sony PlayStation 5 vs Microsoft Xbox Series X: Here’s how the two gaming consoles compare price-wise

Sony recently unveiled the pricing for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) console in India. Arch-rival Microsoft Xbox disclosed the India pricing of its upcoming next-gen consoles Xbox Series X and S in September only. Let’s take a look at how the two top-tier consoles stack up against each other price-wise.
The regular edition of PlayStation 5 comes priced at Rs 49,990 while the digital edition is priced at Rs 39,990. The digital edition of the PS5 console comes sans the disc drive. In comparison, Microsoft has priced the Xbox Series X at Rs 49,990 only, which is the same as the regular edition price of the PlayStation 5. The Xbox Series S, on the other hand, is cheaper and comes at Rs 34,990. But the Xbox Series S console is also smaller in size than the Series X and has a lower RAM and half the storage capacity. The gaming resolution is also restricted to 1440p on Series S while the Series X supports 4K.

Sony also revealed the prices of the PS5 accessories. The much-awaited DualSense controller has been priced at Rs 5,990 while the HD Camera comes at Rs 5,190. The Pulse 3D Wireless Headset comes at a price tag of Rs 8,590, the Media Remote at Rs 2,590 and DualSense Charging Station comes at Rs 2,590.
Both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will arrive on November 10. Pre-orders for them begin October 22. Sony is yet to share the availability details.
