Pixel 7 Pro gets leaked benchmark video with some interesting results

Google’s Pixel launch event is only a day away. Ahead of the event, however, one retailer has decided to put the Pixel 7 Pro through its paces in a benchmark test.

The Pixel 7 Pro has had a fair amount of leaks leading up to the launch date. But we have never had the chance to see how the phone performs, let alone see the device actually powered on. It appears that changes today with the release of a benchmarking video courtesy of Bangladesh-based retailer Gadgetfull BD.

On the company’s Facebook page, someone is recorded running a Geekbench test of the Pixel 7 Pro. The video shows that the phone received a score of 1,054 on the single-core test and 3,138 points on the multi-core test. For comparison, Geekbench lists the Pixel 6 Pro as having a single-core score of 1,041 and a multi-core score of 2,739. The retailer also ran an AnTuTu test, which revealed a score of 801,116.

It’s important to note that these benchmarks are only meant to measure a device’s peak performance. Most everyday uses won’t get close to using this much power. Instead, this is more of a nice-to-know kind of thing for average users.

Gadgetfull BD didn’t go into any further details about the phone, like addressing the design. It’s likely the retailer didn’t get into other details because the company released an unboxing video prior to this one.

Both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be running on Google’s second-generation Tensor G2 chip. Leaks have told us that the chip could have the same Cortex-A55 core and 2+2+4 cluster configuration as in the original. But it could come packaged with an upgraded version of the company’s machine learning.
