Over 40 Games to Try Out at the Return of the ID@Xbox Demo Fest Next Week

The ID@Xbox Demo Fest is making its return on July 11, offering gamers the opportunity to try out over 40 game demos on Xbox.

These demos will only be available on the Xbox Dashboard for a week, with the possibility of some being re-published to the Demo channel at a later date. However, many demos will disappear after the week, so make sure to try out anything that catches your interest.

The Wandering Village can now be accessed through Steam Early Access, and you will be able to try out the Xbox demo next week.

It’s important to note that these demos are not your typical demos. Instead of being created when the game is nearly completed, these demos may not accurately represent the final version as they are still in various stages of development, some even in the early stages.

The full list of demos will be revealed on July 11, but here’s a preview of what you can expect.

First, we have Demonschool from Necrosoft Games and Ysbryd Games. This RPG incorporates tactical elements with a chilling horror atmosphere. As the last demon hunter, Faye, you must navigate university life while facing unique battles, forming relationships with friends, completing sidequests, and battling gigantic bosses, all while trying to unravel the demonic mystery of the island.

If you haven’t already, be sure to try out the demo for Lies of P from Neowiz. Although it is part of the demo fest, you can actually play it now.

Another demo to look forward to is Sea of Stars, developed by Sabotage Studio. This classic RPG features turn-based combat, immersive storytelling, and extensive exploration with interactive environments. Inspired by the classics, the game follows the story of two Children of the Solstice who must combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of defeating the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer. The demo showcases areas that will be included in the final game, without giving away any major spoilers from the main story, providing a glimpse of the game’s tone and vibe.

One more demo worth trying is The Wandering Village by Stray Fawn Studios. This city-building simulation takes place on the back of a colossal, wandering creature. As you construct your settlement, you will form a symbiotic relationship with the beast while trying to survive a stunning post-apocalyptic world overrun by toxic plants. We personally recommend giving this demo a try, as we had the opportunity to experience it during one of the Steam Next Fests.

Worldless is a 2D adventure platformer developed by Noname and Coatsink. Embark on a journey of self-growth and understanding as you navigate the boundary between the physical and astral planes in a shapeless world. The demo showcases a range of enemies, bosses, and skills that can be unlocked, as well as various areas to explore with carefully curated sound effects.

The ID@Xbox Demo Fest will run from July 11 to July 19.
