Oppo Reno 3, Oppo Reno 3 Pro With Quad Rear Cameras, Dual-Mode 5G Support Launched: Price, Specifications

Oppo on Thursday has expanded the Reno series by launching two new smartphones – Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro. Both of these smartphones have been launched at an event in China where the company showcases its flagship phones and reveals its price and specifications. Both of these models come with dual-mode 5G support and are equipped with quad rear cameras. One notable thing about Oppo Reno 3 is, it is the first smartphone from the company to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC, while the Oppo Reno 3 Pro draws power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC. In addition to these smartphones, Oppo has also launched the Enco Free true wireless earbuds at this event that were teased earlier this month.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro Specifications

The all-new Oppo Reno 3 Pro comes with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) curved AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Additionally, the display of Oppo Reno 3 Pro has 402ppi pixel density, 5000000: 1 contrast ratio, 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, and HDR10+ support.

Under the hood, this smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC which is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. Furthermore, it comes with up to 256GB of inbuilt storage to store media and files.

In the camera department, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro comes with a quad-rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel shooter with the Sony IMX586 sensor and f/1.7 aperture, assisted by OIS and EIS. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an 116-degrees field of view, a 13-megapixel telephoto camera with EIS and 5x hybrid zoom support, and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera with an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, it includes a 32-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 lens placed inside the hole-punch.

Apart from this, the new Oppo Reno 3 Pro runs on the latest Android 10 with ColorOS 7 skin on top. Connectivity options on the phone include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port, GPS/A-GPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo, and NFC. Sensors onboard the phone are a compass, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gravity sensor, gyroscope, pedometer, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the phone is fuelled by a 4,025mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 support.

Oppo Reno 3 Specifications

As you might have already got it. Oppo Reno 3 is the base edition of Oppo Reno 3 Pro. So, most of the specifications of this variant is similar to that of its top-notch variant. The new Oppo Reno 3 comes with a 6.4-inch TUV Rheinland-certified display with a waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Also, there is up to 256GB of inbuilt storage for media and storage. 

In the camera department, it also comes equipped with a quad-rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor. All the other suite of sensors are similar to that of Oppo Reno 3 Pro. At the front, it also comes with a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. 

Apart from this, the Oppo Reno 3 also runs on the latest Android 10 with ColorOS 7 skin on the top. It comes with a 4,025mAh battery with VOOC 4.0 fast charging support that has a peak 30W output. Besides, everything is common to that of Oppo Reno 3 Pro. 

Oppo Reno 3 Pro Pantone Edition, Enco Free – Price and Availability

Oppo has also launched a Pantone Edition of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro in a Classic Blue color, which is priced at CNY 4,199 (approx Rs. 42,000) while the sale will kick off on January 10. Lastly, the company has also unveiled the Enco Free true wireless earbuds that are priced at CNY (approx Rs. 7,000) and will go sale January 31 onwards. They come in Black, Pink, and White color options.

Oppo Reno 3, Oppo Reno 3 Pro – Price and Availability

As for the price and availability, the Oppo Reno 3 is priced at CNY 3,399 (approx Rs. 34,000) for the phone’s 8GB + 128GB variant, while the higher-end 12GB + 128GB model carries a price tag of CNY 3,699 (approx Rs. 36,999). On the other hand, the Opo Reno 3 Pro is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs. 40,000) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the top-end 12GB + 256GB configuration will be available by CNY 4,499 (approx Rs. 45,000).

As for the availability, Oppo Reno 3 will go on sale starting December 31 in China, while Oppo Reno 3 Pro with the base model will go on sale starting December 31 in China and the top-end model will go on sale January 10 onwards. The Oppo Reno 3 will be available in Misty White, Moon Night Black, Sunrise Impression, and Blue Starry Night color options, while the Reno 3 Pro will be available in Black, Pink, and White color options.
