Oppo Reno 10X Zoom 48MP Triple Rear Camera & Oppo Reno Standard Version Launched: Price and Specifications

Oppo has finally launched two new phones from its new Reno series which was announced back in the early March 2019. Interestingly, Oppo has shipped the Reno 10X variant with the company’s own 10X Zoom lossless camera which they announced in the MWC 2019. In addition to the 10X Zoom version, a standard version of Reno is also launched. Let’s take a deeper look on both of these phones.

Oppo Reno 10X Zoom: Specifications

The all-new Oppo Reno 10X features a 6.65-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution AMOLED display with 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. It comes with a notch-less panel with the support of HDR 10+ technology. Furthermore, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 to protect it from minor scratches.

Oppo Reno 10x Zoom features a 7000-series aluminum alloy frame with a slim body measuring just 162 x 77.2 x 9.3mm and weighs 210 grams. Under the hood, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC which is coupled with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, it features 256GB of inbuilt storage option with no expandable memory support.

In the camera department, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom features a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48MP main camera with IMX586 sensor with OIS technology and an f/1.7 aperture, a 13MP telephoto lens  (S5K3M5, OIS) and f/3.0 aperture, and at last, an 8MP super wide-angle lens with IMX319 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The main module features the company’s own 10X lossless sensor which is coupled with dual-LED flash and laser autofocus.

While on the front, this smartphone features a uniquely crafted “shark fin” shaped pop-up module on the top edge of the device. This pop-up module features a 16MP camera with IMX471 sensor and f/2.0 aperture which is coupled with an LED light.

Apart from this, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom runs on Color OS 6 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie. It features good connectivity options as it includes dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ GLONASS, VOOC 3.0, USB 3.1, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Also, it is fuelled by 4065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. It also supports Dolby panoramic sound, Hi-Res sound.

Oppo Reno Standard Version: Specifications

The standard version of Oppo Reno is slightly different from the 10X Zoom version. The Oppo Reno Standard variant features a 6.4-inches FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

This device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC which is paired with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, it features 256GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via an external MicroSD card.

In the camera department, the standard version of Oppo Reno features a dual-rear camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel main camera with a 5-megapixel secondary camera. On the front, it features a 16MP pop-up selfie shooter with an LED light.

Apart from this, Oppo Reno standard version also runs on Color OS 6 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie. It features good connectivity options as it includes dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ GLONASS, VOOC 3.0, USB 3.1, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Also, it is fuelled by 3765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. It also supports Dolby panoramic sound, Hi-Res sound.

Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom: Price and Availability

As for the price Oppo Reno costs 2,999 Yuan (approx $446) for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 6GB + 256GB variant costs 3,299 Yuan (approx $491), and the 8GB + 256GB version costs 3,599 Yuan (approx $536).

On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom version is priced at 3,999 Yuan (approx $595) for the 6GB + 128GB option, while the 6GB + 256GB option goes for 4,499 Yuan (approx $670), and at last, the 8GB + 256GB version goes for 4,799 Yuan (approx $715).

Both of these phones will be available in four color options – Fog Sea Green, Extreme Night Black, Nebula Purple, and Pink Mist. As for the availability of these smartphones, Oppo will be holding a Global Launch event for the Reno series at Zurich, Switzerland on April 24.
