Oppo A83 2018 With 5.7-inch HD+ FullView Display, Face Unlock Launched in India


Oppo has launched an upgraded version of its mid-range Oppo A83 smartphone in India. The Oppo A83 2018 comes with the price tag of Rs. 15,990 is available to purchase through online stores like Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm Mall as well as via offline stores. It comes in  Blue and Gold and Red colour options.

Talking about the specifications, the Oppo A83 2018 runs  Color OS 3.2-based on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and sports a 5.7” HD+ (720×1440 pixels) LCD FullView display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor coupled with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Oppo A83 2018comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash.  It also supports artificial intelligence technology for beautification effect. According to the company, its AI technology captures more than 200 facial points when a photo is taken and then uses its own data to refine features and compose the face contour. On the front, there is an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The front camera also equipped AI beautification as well as facial recognition technology; it can unlock the phone within 0.18 seconds using 128 unique feature points on the user’s face.

The Oppo A83 2018  is fueled by a 3180mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4GVoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 /b/g/n, GPS, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.2, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass. It measures 150.5×73.1×7.7mm and weight is 143 grams.
