Oppo A15 to launch in India on October 15

NEW DELHI: It seems that smartphone maker Oppo is on a phone launching spree. The company recently announced the launch of the Diwali Edition of Oppo F17 Pro and now it has confirmed the India launch of Oppo A15. Oppo has announced that it will launch the Oppo A15 on October 15 in India at 12pm. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will be available online on Amazon. Oppo A15 will come with a triple rear camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Oppo A15 expected specifications
The company has already confirmed that the Oppo A15 will sport a 6.52-inch display with water drop style notch. The device will feature a triple rear camera setup with 13MP main sensor, 2MP macro shooter and 2MP depth sensor. The handset will also come with eye protection and AI brightness which will learn user preferences over time and will then adjust the brightness accordingly.
The smartphone is said to run Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of UI — ColourOS7. Oppo A15 is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone is said to come with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. It is expected that the handset will house a 5MP front camera for selfies. The device is said to be backed by a 4230 mAh battery.
Going by the specifications it is expected that the company might price the smartphone under the budget segment.
Recently, it was reported that Oppo is planning to build its own short video platform just like TikTok. While details about the platform are still scarce, the world’s fifth-largest smartphone vendor may launch the service later this year, a top executive of the company told the South China Morning Post.
