Chinese Manufacturer Oppo has revealed the first ever 10X Optical lossless zoom technology to hit on the Smartphone camera at the MWC 2019 event which was held in Barcelona on Saturday. Oppo announced that this camera tech is now under mass production will be featured into their next smartphone coming in Q2 2019.

Oppo has also described the functioning of this 10X Optical Zoon technology which is based on the triple rear camera setup. Out of these, there is a primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens coming in a periscope-style setup.

The primary camera comes with a 48-megapixel high-resolution sensor to capture detailed shots, while there is a 120-degree 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens with 16mm focal length, and at the last, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 160 mm focal length which gives this whole mechanism to capture lossless shots even at 10x zoom. Both of these primary sensors and telephoto sensor feature Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to capture a clearer picture even when zooming at 10x.

As mentioned earlier, Oppo has confirmed that this camera technology is in mass production and will be featured in their next smartphone coming in Q2 2019. Although Oppo has revealed the design of the camera setup but the actual design setup on the smartphone may vary. So overall, this is a great innovation by Oppo in smartphone camera technology which will be coming soon in Q2 2019.
