Tomorrow is a big day for all OnePlus fans since we are going to get the launch of the OnePlus 12 and 12R in international markets. As always, it appears that the company has more than just the two phones planned for this year, and we could see the OnePlus Watch 2 later this year, as well. This will make it the second watch for the company, and it will be running the latest WearOS by Google.
OnePlus Watch 2 will be the first smartwatch from OnePlus to run Google’s Wear OS
The tip is coming from a reliable OnePlus tipster, and according to him, the OnePlus Watch 2 will be launched at the Mobile World Congress in February, later this year. The initial plans suggested that the watch could be released alongside the new OnePlus devices.

There isn’t much information available on the new watch aside from the fact that we have heard how the OnePlus Watch 2 will come with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with 466×466 resolution. The watch will also have a hardware button on the right side and will be running the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, as well as a BES 2700 co-processor for better energy efficiency.
One of the bigger deals about the OnePlus Watch 2 will not be running RTOS, but instead, it will feature Google’s Wear OS 4, which will help with compatibility, as well as support for future applications, which is definitely something that people are going to look forward to in their smartwatches.
Honestly, I believe OnePlus is doing a great thing with its devices. I really like the OnePlus Open, and the same can be said about the OnePlus 12 and 12R, which are already available in China. It finally feels like the company has started making the progress that fans always wanted, and I can only hope that this upward trajectory is something that the company can maintain going forward.
