OnePlus 8, 8 Pro gets Android 11 Developer Preview 3

OnePlus has announced Android 11 Developer Preview 3 for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones. This preview will offer a first look to the new design and features of OxygenOS 11. As it’s a developer preview, it is recommended that you have some experience with flashing custom ROMs before you proceed to download it. You may end up bricking your phone and back up personal data before you start doing anything.
The OxygenOS 11 will offer a visual design with Weather app, Launcher, Gallery and Notes along with a new layout for one-handed operation. You will also get to see Always-on display function, including 11 new clock styles including live wallpaper that changes according to the time of day.
There is the OnePlus Sans font that improves readability, optimised Dark Mode, including the ability to automatically turn on and off and a shortcut in Quick Settings. There are three new Zen Mode themes, more timing options, and new Group features to let users experience Zen Mode with your friends. Lastly, the new Gallery function that automatically creates a weekly story based on your photos and videos.
OnePlus is already warning users that some third-party applications may not function as expected with the new developer preview along with system stability issues and network stability issues. The OnePlus 8 series carrier devices (TMO/VZW) aren’t compatible with the Developer Preview builds.
