OnePlus 7 Pro to feature HDR10+ Certified Display with 4,000 Nits Brightness, UFS 3.0 Storage

OnePlus 7 is just a week to go for into its launch event, but before that, the Chinese manufacturer announced that the OnePlus 7 Pro’s display will be HDR10+ certified. With the HDR10+ certification, the 7 Pro’s display will offer a more dynamic, detailed and vivid viewing experience to the users.

HDR10+ display certification is a premium display technology only find in some high-end TVs and Smartphones. But now, the Chinese manufacturer has assembled the display of its latest flagship with this technology to provide an unmatched viewing experience to the users right on their smartphone.

HDR10+ provides adaptive frame-by-frame adjustments for the optimum representation of contrast from the HDR source content. Not only that but also, HDR10+ also produces 4000 nits of peak brightness, with a huge hike of 3,000 nits of brightness as compared to that of the HDR10.

This information came after the OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 7 Pro gets an A+ top-grade rating by DisplayMate, who is a leading evaluator of displays and is known for conducting complete in-depth tests and measurements for smartphone displays. And from there, we came to know that the latest OnePlus flagship bundles HDR10+ display certifications.

“HDR10+ is the future of not just television displays, but also smartphone displays as well. We hope that our newest device will set a new benchmark for the smartphone industry and open up a new world of visual fluidity for users.” OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said in a statement. “We’re glad we are leading the ranks in sharing quality technology with the world.”

In addition to the HDR10+ certified display, the OnePlus 7 Pro will also support UFS 3.0 storage, making it the first phone to go to market with the technology. This announcement has been made itself by the OnePlus CEO on Twitter claiming that the phone will be faster than “comparable smartphones”.

The UFS 3.0 storage technology was announced back in 2018, however, it doesn’t make its debut to any smartphone. But now, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be the first smartphone to bring this technology enabled. The UFS 3.0 brought major improvements in sequential read and write speeds and twice the bandwidth per lane. This will allow OnePlus 7 Pro to offer faster app launch time, short loading time on games, faster boot, faster photo-saving. The UFS 3.0 comes with a maximum up to data rate up to 23.2Gbps and with up to 11.6Gbps per lane.

Meanwhile, OnePlus 7 Pro is said to be launched with the triple rear camera setup, a pop-up selfie sensor. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Soc and will be coupled with upto 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. The OnePlus 7 Pro is tipped to come at a price tag starting from Rs 49,999 in India.
