OnePlus 6T Retail Box Leaked Revealing Water Drop Notch Design and In-Display Fingerprint Scanner


The OnePlus smartphone had its long journey in the market as it is 4 months now since it has been released in the market, and just about a couple of months to go, as per OnePlus’ standard, they will unveil another flagship that will replace the current one.

If you would notice, OnePlus smartphones looks similar with Oppo’s R flagships in terms of its design, features and hardware specifications in some areas. Just recently, five photos were posted on Weibo of the alleged and seems to be a retail box of OnePlus 6T, an undergoing smartphone plan and a new expected flagship of OnePlus. If you would look closely at it, you might notice a soft resemblance of Oppo R17 Pro.

Naturally, retail boxes aren’t a good choice to look for a phone’s design and structure, but as per the picture that spread over the internet, it has an outline of the phone which gave us a big hint about these incoming smartphone.

The key features that this leak has revealed are the in-display fingerprint sensor and a ‘waterdrop’ notch for the front camera. Along with the outline, it shows the slogan that might feature this new flagship, ‘Unlock the Speed’.

So according to the leak, the OnePlus 6T will have a notch just like the OnePlus 6 but might not be that wide. This notch is a water drop style that is now quickly becoming a trend, with a front-facing camera in it. Just above its notch is a slit for the phone’s earpiece.

As we have mentioned above, it will also have an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is also becoming the latest industry trend. All the leading Chinese manufacturers including Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, and Xiaomi are aggressively adopting this new technology but others like Apple, Samsung, HTC, Sony and LG are still behind.

The expected hardware specifications of this incoming smartphone look similar to OnePlus’. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A good AMOLED screen display and might be over 6-inches in size.  However, it is expected to be more expensive compared to OnePlus 6. Stay tuned with TechnoCodex for more updates.
