OnePlus 5T Sandstone White Variant is Now Officially Launched


After teasing on YouTube and Twitter, OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus 5T Sandstone White variant globally. The smartphone comes with a price-tag of $559 (Rs 35,000 approx) and it will go on sale in the US starting January 9 via the company’s official website. However, it is unclear if OnePlus will bring the Sandstone White variant of OnePlus 5T to India.

The new OnePlus 5T Sandstone White variant looks similar to the recently launched Star Wars limited edition with sandstone texture on the back. There is no Star Wars logo on the new OnePlus 5T Sandstone White, but the company retained the Mineral Red Alert Slider on the left. Similar to Star Wars limited edition, the Sandstone colour variant only comes with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

Apart from new colour, the specs of the phone remain the same as other variants, the OnePlus 5T runs on OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and sports 6.0” Full-HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It offers 8GB LPDDR4X RAM 128GB UFS2.1 Storage.

OnePlus 5T sports a  dual rear camera with a combination of a 16MP main camera (Sony IMX398 sensor, 1.12-micron pixels, f/1.7 aperture, 27.22mm focal length) and 20MP secondary camera (IMX 376K sensor, 1.0 μm, f/1.7 aperture, 27.22mm focal length) with dual-LED flash. On the front, there is a 16MP camera with IMX 371 sensor, 1.0μm, and f/2.0 aperture.

OnePlus 5T is fueled by a 3300 mAh battery with Dash Charging support. The company claims that it can charge 19 percent of battery with 6 minutes of charge. It comes with dual SIM dual standby and supports 34 LTE bands. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio port, and USB 2.0 Type-C port. Sensors on board the OnePlus 5T include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
