OnePlus 5T confirmed to launch on November 16, First Sale in India on November 21


As we reported earlier on October 27, The OnePlus 5T is now confirmed to launch on November 16. The company has officially announced the launch date of the OnePlus 5T, the event will be held in Brooklyn, New York, at 11 AM EST (9:30 PM IST).

The company has also confirmed that the OnePlus 5T will go on sale in India including North America and Europe and from November 21 but in China, the handset will be made available on December 1.

Live streams can be watched on the company’s dedicated page for OnePlus 5T, also the die-hard fans can join the live event at New York. However, one has to pay $40 and the tickets will be available on the launch page on November 8.

Similar to previous OnePlus models, the OnePlus 5T will also be an Amazon exclusive device. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has already tipped pricing details of the upcoming OnePlus 5T which is likely to remain under CNY 4,000 (Rs. 39,000 approx).

As per the previous leaks, the OnePlus 5T is expected to feature 6” Full-HD+ (1080x2160pixels) Optic AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 along with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is expected to power by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. It offers 6GB and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB /128GB storage respectively. The company is using of UFS 2.1 storage and a 2-lane ROM, which together are said to double the bandwidth.

In the camera department, the OnePlus 5T sports a 16MP+20MP dual rear camera combination. This is made up of a 16MP main camera (Sony IMX398 sensor, 1.12-micron pixels) with an f/1.7 aperture, coupled with a 20MP telephoto camera (Sony IMX350 sensor, 1-micron pixels) with an f/2.6 aperture. The combination of the two can let users take a ‘bokeh’ style image with the background blurred, while the object is in sharp focus.

The OnePlus 5T is fueled by a 3,450mAh battery which is slightly more than OnePlus 5’s 3300mAh battery. It also supports with 5V/4A Dash Charging.
