Not only Samsung, Xiaomi too made fun of Apple over power adapter and EarPods
In a post on Twitter, Xiaomi said, “Don’t worry, we didn’t leave anything out of the box with the #Mi10TPro.” The post shows video of Xiaomi Mi10 Pro box with an adapter inside.

OnePlus too made fun of Apple at the launch event of its latest flagship phone, OnePlus 8T. While explaining the specifications and features of OnePlus 8T, the company’s executive stressed on the fact that the flagship smartphone comes with a 65W charger inside the box. “Even though it costs us twice to manufacture as our previous power adapter when you buy the OnePlus 8T, don’t worry, we will throw it in the box for free,” said the executive in an apparent jab at Apple.
The arch rival Samsung took a dig at Apple over omission of Earpods and adapter from the box. In a Facebook post, Samsung used a photo of a power adapter with the caption “Included with your Galaxy.” It also made fun of the 60Hz refresh rate on the new iPhones. “Your Galaxy does give you what you are looking for. From the most basic as a charger, to the best camera, battery, performance, memory and even 120Hz screen on a smartphone,” read the post.
Samsung also made fun of Apple’s late entry in the 5G smartphone world. “Some people are just saying hi to speed now, we’ve been friends for a while. Get your Galaxy 5G device now,” goes a tweet from the official Twitter handle of Samsung Mobile US.
Incidentally, Apple has removed the two accessories from the box of not only the new iPhone 12 series, but from all iPhones in its current lineup. These include iPhone SE, iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. Apple has also removed the power adapter from Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE launched in September this year. The 2020 smartwatch lineup ships with the USB charging cable only.
As part of its announcement, Apple claimed that there are already 700 million Lightning headphones as well as 2 billion Apple power adapters in the world, basically hinting that most people already own both the accessories.
