Nokia X6 with 19:9 FullView Display, Dual Rear Cameras Launched


Nokia has today launched its first ‘X series’ smartphone dubbed as Nokia X6 in China.  The smartphone comes with the price tag of 1299 yuan ($ 204/ Rs. 13,830 approx.) for the 4GB+32GB memory configuration, 1499 yuan ($ 236/ Rs. 15,980 approx.) for the 4GB + 64GB option and the top-end 6GB+64GB variant is priced at 1699 yuan ($ 266 / Rs. 18,090 approx.) The smartphone will be available on,, and, starting from May 21st. It comes in Blue, Black, and Silver color options.

Talking about the specifications, the Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 5.8” Full HD+ (2280 × 1080 pixels) 19:9 FullView display with iPhone X-like notch and protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. It offers three memory configurations – 4GB of RAM with 32GB /64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia X6 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP RGB camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size, dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP Monochrome camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.2um pixel size. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size. Both the cameras offer AI features like portrait shots, scene recognition, background blur, stickers, HDR support, and facial recognition technology to unlock the device.  It also offers the Bothie feature, letting users utilise both front and rear cameras simultaneously.

The Nokia X6 is fueled by a 3060mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support, it can charge from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM Radio, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 147.2×70.98×7.99mm (excluding the lens), going up to 8.59mm with the lens, and weighs 151 grams.
