HMD Global, the Finland-based company that has the license to manufacture and sell Nokia-branded handsets, has launched a new smartphone called — Nokia G50 — globally. The handset is meant to be an affordable 5G offering from the brand.

Nokia G50 comes in a single RAM and storage option of 4GB+64GB that is priced at €230 (approximately Rs 19,900) The Nokia G50 can be purchased in two colour options — Ocean Blue and Midnight Sun and will go on sale first in the UK, followed by Europe later.

Running on stock Android 11 operating system out of the box, the Nokia G50 smartphone is said to get 2 years of Android upgrades and 3 years of monthly security updates.
The handset offers a display of a 6.82-inch HD+ screen of 1640x720p resolution with a waterdrop notch.
The Nokia G50 smartphone comes powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor. On the storage front, the device offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For those who want more, there is a dedicated microSD card on the device that can support up to 512GB of storage.
For imaging duties, Nokia G50 has a triple-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor. There is also a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, users get an 8MP sensor. Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Nokia G50 comes with 18W fast charging support.
Measuring 173.83×77.68×8.85mm and weighing 220 grams, the smartphone offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-SIM support and a USB Type-C port for charging.
