Nokia 9 get certified by the FCC, Leaked Image Shows Bezel-less Design

The upcoming high-end smartphone by HMD Global bearing model number TA-1005 with codename ‘Avatar’ has cleared FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification. The certification reveals some key specs about the upcoming device, which is none other than Nokia 9.

According to the specification list posted on Twitter by @ZyadAtef12, the Nokia 9 runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and a 5.5” OLED display made by LG. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For optics, the Nokia 9 will come with dual rear cameras but in a 12MP + 13MP configuration. For selfies, it packs a rather modest 5MP sensor. The Nokia 9 will be fueled by a 3250mAh battery which 18W fast charging support.

Moreover, the design of the Nokia 9 has been spotted in the leaked render surfaced on Chinese social network Weibo, The render reveals the front panel of the upcoming device. It shows that the device will bear a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio. There are minimal bezels on the top and bottom of the device. The render shows that the device will come with a dual selfie cameras as well, this could make HMD Global’s first device to sport four cameras

In addition to the specifications spotted on the FCC certification, Nokia 9 with codename Avatar had appeared on Geekbench benchmarking site at the beginning of this month. The Geekbench listing reveals that the smartphone runs on Android  8.0 Oreo operating system and offers 6GB of RAM. The phone has scored 1910 in single-core test and 6796 in multi-core test.

The Nokia 9 is expected to become official as early as January 19, However, it is worth mentioning that HMD Global hasn’t revealed any official details on the smartphone as of yet.
