Nokia 7 Plus Android 9.0 Pie Update Starts Rolling Out

HMD Global has finally started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie update for Nokia 7 Plus smartphone. The update is in line with Juho Sarvikas earlier statement during the launch event of Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus which revealed that a stable OTA Android 9 Pie update would be heading to the Nokia 7 Plus next month. The update could have been released earlier but due to some certification bug it was on hold and the public beta programme was prolonged. Nokia 7 Plus become the second non-pixel smartphone to get the Android 9.0 Pie update after OnePlus 6.

The Android 9.0 Pie update for Nokia 7 Plus carries the version number of 3.22C and is around 1.47GB in size. After the Android 9.0 Pie update, the Nokia 7 Plus will get advanced machine learning and AI features, such as Adaptive Battery functionality, Adaptive Brightness, and App Actions, ensure smarter resourcing of power and processing and accelerate smartphone functionality. The update also brings gesture-based intuitive navigation, which provides a detailed view of all the mobile activities of our device, Do Not Disturb mode, and other features.

If you didn’t receive the update notification yet, you can check it manually by going into Setting> About the phone> Check for update. We recommend you to back up all your data before updating your phone. Also, make sure the battery on the device is more than 60 percent for a safer side.
