Nokia 6.1 Plus Launched in India with 19:9 FullView Display and Dual Rear Cameras: Price, Specifications and More

Nokia has today launched its Latest mid-range smartphone dubbed as Nokia 6.1 Plus, in India. The main highlights of the smartphone include a 19:9 FullView display, dual rear cameras with AI and HDR features and pure Android operating system. To recall, the phone was announced as Nokia X6 in China this year.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Price and Availability

The smartphone comes with the price tag of Rs. 15,999 and will be available to purchase starting 30th August on Nokia online store and Flipkart as well. The pre-orders will start from today itself. The smartphone will be made available in Gloss Midnight Blue, Gloss White, and Gloss Black color options. As for the launch offers, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes bundled with data benefits from Airtel.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Specifications

Talking about the specifications, the Nokia 6.1 Plus runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and sports a 5.8” Full HD+ (2280 × 1080 pixels) 19:9 FullView display with iPhone X-like notch and protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP RGB camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size, dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP Monochrome camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.2um pixel size. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size. Both the cameras offer AI features like portrait shots, scene recognition, background blur, stickers, HDR support, and facial recognition technology to unlock the device. It also offers the Bothie feature, letting users utilise both front and rear cameras simultaneously.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is fueled by a 3060mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support, it can charge from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM Radio, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. It measures 147.2×70.98×7.99mm (excluding the lens), going up to 8.59mm with the lens, and weighs 151 grams.
