HMD Global is keep expanding its Android smartphone portfolio, after the launch of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, company has unveiled the flagship Nokia 8 in August this year and also announces the official launch of Nokia 7 in China last week. HMD is also rumored to be working on an entry level smartphone, Nokia 2. The handset has been rumored several times on internet and expected to launch by end of this year.
Ahead of the official launch, Nokia 2 has been spotted on a US-based online retailer, B&H. The website reveals that the smartphone will be available at the price tag of $99 (Rs 6,439 approx.) The listing also reveals that the smartphone will be available in Black and White colour options. However, the listing has been pulled down from the website so it is unclear when the handset will get official.
The entry-level Nokia 2 is expected to equipped with a IPS LCD 4.7” HD (1,280×720 pixels) display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC. It is also expected to come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which could be further expanded. The Nokia 2 is expected to come with stock version of Android 7.1 Nougat and could be upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo.
Nokia 2 is also expected to feature on-screen buttons, unlike other Nokia Android smartphones including the flagship Nokia 8, It is also expected to be fueled by a 4000mAh battery.
