Nokia 2 Officially go on Sale in Russia


In the end of last month, HMD Global has revealed its much rumored entry-level Nokia 2 Smartphone in India. Now the Nokia 2 is available to purchase, with Russia becoming the first market to get the entry-level smartphone.

The Nokia 2 can be purchased from the official Nokia Russia online store, it comes with the price tag of RUB 7,990 (€117 approx.) while at the launch event in India company has announced that the Nokia 2 with the price tag of €99, but due to taxes and import fees smartphones tend to be more expensive in Russia than the EU. Although the smartphone was announced in India, it is yet to go up for sale in the country.

To recall, the Nokia 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and promise to get Oreo update soon. Nokia 2 sports a 5” HD (720×1280 pixels) LTPS In-Cell Touch display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Nokia 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. It offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The Nokia 2 comes equipped with an 8MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and making calls. The smartphone is fueled by a 4100mAh battery with two days battery life. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTEWi-Fi802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. It measures 143.5×71.3×9.3mm, and is IP52-rated
