If you haven’t had the chance to play a Pikmin game, Nintendo has you covered with a new video that introduces you to the wonderful world of Pikmin.
Unfortunately, Pikmin hasn’t gained a massive following, with less than 8 million copies sold. This means that many people may not be familiar with the series. In light of this, Nintendo has released a helpful video titled “Pikmin 4 – Your First Expedition with Pikmin” to cater to newcomers like myself.
If you’re already familiar with Pikmin, the video may not offer much new information. However, it does introduce the adorable Pikmin characters and their various colors. You can interact with them by throwing them (though that may seem a bit mean) or making them follow you with a whistle (even though it seems strange that a space helmet would have a whistle). While the video may cover familiar ground for experienced players, it does include some cute cutscenes that may not be in the game, providing some extra enjoyment.
In June, we received a significant preview of Pikmin 4 during Nintendo’s annual summer Direct event. Additionally, Pikmin 1 and 2 are now available on the Nintendo Switch, allowing new players to experience the entire series. A demo for Pikmin 4 was also recently released, offering a great opportunity to try the game for yourself.
The wait for the full Pikmin 4 experience is almost over, as the game will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on July 21.
