Next Assassin’s Creed game will be based on Viking Age

Assassin’s Creed is one among the long-lasting video game franchise which regularly gets it’s a sequel one after another. Even, every sequel of the game takes place in a different era or at different places of the world. And that’s the reason why the fans of this franchise are always excited about the destination of the coming sequel.

And again, continuing its tradition, the next Assassin’s Creed game is hailed to be based on the Viking era. According to a report by Kotaku, the next title is set to take place in the Viking Age.

Just before this confirmation from Kotaku, a Division 2 player named ‘JorRaptor’ previously informed that the coming Assassin’s Creed will be something based on Vikings. As he discovered a collection of unusual posters in the game’s Potomac Event Center which depicts a Norse warrior holding a spear in one hand, and the “Apple of Eden” in his other hand. This usually indicated the Vikings era.

The Apple of Eden is a major artifact which plays an important role in a number of Assassin’s Creed games. And now, it seems like it is returning back into the game. This artifact offers majestic power to the holder and so every player wants to take it with them in the game.

However, this proof was not much reliable to prove the upcoming title will be based in the Vikings era. But on the other hand, Kotaku claims the same with a proof which indicated the game to be based on the age of Vikings. It says the next Assassin’s Creed is codenamed as “Kingdom” which remarks the Viking era between  793 and 1066 AD in Europe.

However, it is not confirmed yet by the developers itself. But these promises may emerge as true which will be confirmed later this year. Most probably in June 2019 when the gameplay trailer of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed is expected to release.
