New Nokia Android Feature Phone Appeared in a Leaked Video

HMD Global seems to be working on a new Nokia-branded Android feature phone. We have seen a few leaks about the same device in the past which is now getting regular leaks. Today, an alleged Nokia Android feature phone got leaked in a hands-on video. The video features the Nokia phone which is fully Voice Centric device.

The new phone looks like the Nokia 230 feature phone. If you closely see the video, you could see that the device is running on an Android Operating System which is quite odd. The user is found using different Android apps such as Google Assistant, Maps and many other more.

The leaked video of Nokia’s new feature phone was posted on Vimeo by the user. We could clearly see the Phone’s Menu with Android’s Voice Assistant i.e. Google Assistant. The company is planning to make the new Nokia feature phone a Voice Centric phone and for that reason, they have implemented the Google Assistant as the default Voice Assistant.

Apart from this, what we could see here is the device is running on Android’s latest version i.e. Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Furthermore, the device is called as “Iron GAFP”.

Moving on to the gaming section, the device features the traditional Snake game. Apart from this, everything else looks similar just like the other Android devices. The phone is a feature phone so that we could not get the smooth interface of Android OS which is quite acceptable.

You can check out the official Video shared by the user on Vimeo featuring the new Nokia feature phone running on an Android Operating System and working with Google’s Assistant.

We have seen many sources in the past about Google’s new venture of the non-touchscreen devices i.e. for the feature phone. The company has been developing its independent Android OS for the feature phones so that they can sell out Android-powered devices in the economy segment for the countries like India.

Google invested in KaiOS a lot and we would get to see many of such feature phones running on the Android Operating System in the coming months. More companies will show up with their Android-powered feature phones.
