New Nintendo Switch Games Releasing This Week (August 15th – 19th)

A new week means a new batch of games hitting the Nintendo Switch, both via retail and on the Nintendo eShop. There’s plenty to see, too, with Tribes of Midgard entering the realm of Nintendo after spending a while as a PlayStation/PC exclusive. The new release on Switch (Xbox, too) brings about some major changes to the game’s beloved – yet tough as nails – Survival Mode, which should make for a more pleasant introduction for newcomers.

A real highlight that survival game fans should be on the lookout for is Hobo: Tough Life. It’s a unique spin on the tried-and-tested survival genre, with players being dumped in a city as an unfortunate homeless with just one goal: survive by any means necessary. Beg, steal, scrounge -whatever it takes to get a warm meal in your belly and some shelter from the rain. Since its release last year on Steam, the game has amassed a fair few positive reviews. Worth a look if you’re sick of dying from malaria in Green Hell.
