NBA Players Get Exclusive Sneak Peek of Call of Duty 2023

A select group of NBA players had the privilege of getting a sneak peek at the highly anticipated 2023 Call of Duty game. During this week’s NBA Summer League, Activision visited the players and showcased an early version of the upcoming installment in the popular shooter series. While most details about the game are still shrouded in mystery, these players took to social media to share glimpses of their experience.

As reported by COD specialists CharlieIntel, several players posted images suggesting that they had witnessed a demonstration of the all-new shooter at an event in Las Vegas. However, it seems that the presentation was strictly hands-off, as the players did not actually get to play the game themselves. The hashtag #CODpartner was widely used in these posts, further indicating the official nature of the event.

One Twitter post shared by CharlieIntel stated, “Here’s an image — they’re being shown a demo of COD 2023, but only playing Warzone.” This tweet shed light on the fact that the players were given a demonstration of the game, but were limited to playing the Warzone mode.

Rumors suggest that this year’s Call of Duty game, speculated to be titled Modern Warfare 3, is being developed by Sledgehammer Games and serves as a direct sequel to MW2. On the other hand, Call of Duty 2024 is reportedly in development at Treyarch.

In other exciting news from the weekend, Electronic Arts formally announced the development of EA UFC 5. This highly-anticipated MMA sequel, the first addition to the franchise since 2020, was revealed on the game’s official social media channels. However, EA kept most details under wraps, teasing that a “full reveal” would take place in September.

If you can’t wait for the next Call of Duty game, Amazon Prime Day is just around the corner, offering fantastic gaming deals as the main event draws nearer.
