Mozilla Announces Firefox 72.0.1 With Advanced Security Features


Mozilla has officially released the latest edition of its popular web browser app i.e. Firefox 72.0.1. The new Mozilla Firefox web browser comes with a number of privacy features with a set of innovative features. Mozilla has recently released the Firefox 72’s standard version, and soon after its announcement, they have released a fresher version of the browser.

Firefox ESR has also been upgraded by the Mozilla that comes many improvements. If we talk about the improved features, then the company has fixed all the privacy-related vulnerabilities from the browser. The company has also released a press release with all the improvements made in the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox web browser app.

Firefox 72 is now blocking fingerprint access from used by the third-party requests sent from unknown companies. The same privacy feature secures the PC system from the data sent by the other third-party apps and websites. It blocks the details of IP address and other information of your system which websites and applications access without your consent. It makes your sensitive data more secure than the previous edition.

The new edition of the Firefox 72 browser has fixed a total of 5 security flaws from which four of them were high-intensity bugs while the rest one is of low-risk vulnerabilities.

Many Windows users have seen security flaws while using the new Firefox browser. Windows systems were allowing the attackers and hackers to have access to the parent control. But with the new update, all the issues will be fixed and they won’t be able to breach the security of your system.

The other security bug was a CVE- 2019- 17017 which is type-confusion. This vulnerability was allowing the attackers to execute arbitrary code in the user’s system. Mozilla wrote everything about the security fixes that they have made with the latest update including the vulnerability issue in its official press release.
