Motorola XT2055-2 Smartphone Codenamed ‘Blackjack’ Spotted On FCC


A new Motorola mobile has been found on the FCC certification database without giving many details about the smartphone. One of the most important details about the listed phone is its model number which is labeled as XT2055-2. 

This new Motorola mobile appears to be an entry-level smartphone that focuses more on battery backup as it is listed to come with a massive 5000mAh battery. Apart from this, its specifications state that this smartphone will not come with dual-band WiFi. 

According to the FCC filing, the smartphone measures 175mm diagonally, which, when accounted for the bezels, translates to roughly a 6.6-inch screen size. Although are not many details available regarding this phone, publication Nashville Chatter states that this may not be a part of the Motorola G8 lineup, since the latter generally comes with the model name of Motorola XT2041. 

Until now, other variants of this Motorola ‘Blackjack’ have been spotted, indicating that the smartphone will be launched in other countries also. Motorola is believed to have multiple devices in the pipeline, as most of them have been filed on FCC, EEC, and WFA. These include the Motorola XT2043, which reportedly sport a 4,000mAh battery. There is also the Motorola XT2045, XT2052, and the XT2053, all of which may be upcoming devices belonging to different lineups under the Motorola and Lenovo smartphone lineups.
