Motorola One Power Launched in India: Price, Specifications and more


Motorola has today launched its Android One powered smartphone dubbed as Motorola One Power, in India. As the name suggested, Motorola One Power is a part of the Android One initiative, which makes it Google-certified to offer an optimised Android experience as well as timely security and version updates. The main highlight of the smartphone is its massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Motorola One Power comes with the price tag of Rs. 15,999 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart. The smartphone will go on sale on October 5, while the registration starts from today itself. It will be made available in Mercury Black colour option.

Motorola One Power Specifications

Motorola One Power runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and is upgradable to Android Pie. It sports a 6.2” full-HD+ (2,246 x 1,080) LCD Max Vision notched display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Motorola One Power comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 16MP OmniVision OV16B sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size and 5MP OmniVision  OV5675 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it has a 12MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, double-sided AI blur, and AR capabilities. The front camera also equipped with facial recognition technology to unlock the device.

The Motorola One Power is fuelled by a 5000mAh battery that is rated to deliver six hours of usage in 15 minutes charge using Motorola’s TurboPower charger. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back embedded under the moto logo. It measures 156×76.95×8.39 mm and weighs 198 grams.
