Mortal Kombat 4 has been brought out from the archive and is now returning to PC via GOG. This game was originally released in 1998 for PC, Nintendo 64, and PlayStation, after an arcade debut in 1997 is now available on sale via GOG for $6.
Since it is returning to the PC after a long time, the developers has updated the game with the latest Windows environment which comes with everything fans will remember from this slightly offbeat entry in the Mortal Kombat series. The game now features 3D gameplay which has weapons, interactive backgrounds, secret and kodes. These weapons can be picked up and used to play against enemies.
It’s not aged quite as well as its predecessors, unfortunately, with every kombatant looking like an origami experiment, but I’ve still got a big soft spot for angular ’90s 3D games. You can see take a look at the trailer released by GOG that reveals the revamped Mortal Kombat 4.
