MIUI 11 accidently leaked revealing new design, icons, and features


MIUI 11 – the next generation skin by Xiaomi is said to be accidentally rolled out by Xiaomi to some of the devices before the official launch. This accidental rollout has enable us to note down some of the new features, designs, and icons of the MIUI 11. 

The new MIUI 11 comes with more colorful icons and implementation specifically to enable cross-device file sharing between multiple devices of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo. As noted by XDA Developers, the MIUI 11 has been accidently rolled out for some of the devices including Redmi K20 Pro, Mi Mix 2S, and Mi 6. The download links were reportedly available for the closed beta MIUI for a limited time, and an XDA Developers forum member was able to download the firmware to find out the new features of MIUI 11.

Out of many features, the first noted change in the MIUI 11 has been done in the iconography. The icons look quite different from what we have on MIUI 10. There are colorful icons but not in symmetry, unlike stock Android 10. This is because the MIUI 11 was still in beta and was unstable.

The latest MIUI is also found to have bold text throughout the interface alongside plenty of white space. Further, Xiaomi has provided a large number of system apps. Additionally, the MIUI 11 is also said to come with a new MIUI Always-on Display features that bring a Kaleidoscope-style experience that adds an ability to change text color automatically, the light changes depending on the sunrise/sunset at your location, and shows five different patterns that rotate each time you turn the screen on.

Xiaomi has also included a new dynamic sound feature, a new Xiaomi Community app, and a redesigned file manager. MIUI 11 is also found to have a dark mode scheduler and a quick replies option for certain messaging apps. Since the reported features were spotted in the pre-release build of MIUI 11, it is safe to expect much more advancements and several tweaks in the final release that could hit as early as later this month.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the MIUI 11 would offer a new monochrome power-saving mode and features such as automatic screenshot deletion post sharing, transition animations, and status bar optimizations.
