Microsoft’s Chromium-based Edge browser Leaked Out!


A new leak has been revealed related to the Microsoft Edge browser which is claimed to be launched as a Chromium-based browser. This leak confirms that the new Microsoft Edge will have a similar look and functionality to that of Google Chrome browser.  The first look of revamped Microsoft Edge shows a mixture of Chrome and Edge.

“Most of the user interface of the browser is a mix of Chrome and Edge, and Microsoft has clearly tried to add its own little touches here and there,” The Verge said on Saturday.

Microsoft has applied the Chromium features just to give a fresh look to its old fashioned browser. After this update, the Microsoft Edge will let you to choose a style for the welcome page just like Google Chrome. There on the default page, you can customize the bookmarks and direct links.

Microsoft Edge will have an extension and sync support page where the user can manage the extensions installed on the browser. Also, Microsoft Edge will support Chrome Extensions and so, the users can install Chrome extensions on Microsoft Edge.

“You’ll also be able to install Chrome extensions from Google’s online store by just flipping a switch in the extension’s settings. Currently, testers can sync favorites, but not settings, history, extensions, open tabs, passwords, and auto-fill information,” the report said.

As of now, the download links of newly designed Microsoft Edge is not available as Microsoft haven’t released it for public preview. However, there are few websites who shared the download links of Microsoft Edge.
