Microsoft Team to Add Walkie-Talkie Feature in the Coming Months

Microsoft is all set to add a set of new features to its popular Microsoft 365 package. The most innovative feature in Microsoft’s package would be the new Walkie-Talkie feature which is coming very soon with Microsoft Teams.

The company has also announced the testing phase for this new way of communication wherein the first half of 2020, they will be using it with a Private Preview. Apart from the Walkie-Talkie feature, Microsoft has also announced a new workflow management integration and other management-related features for the users.

In the coming months, the Walkie-Talkie feature will turn your Smartphone and Tablet devices into Walkie-Talkie. This new communication integration will work on Wi-Fi or Cellular data. Inside Microsoft Teams, the company is adding a new integration that allows the users to make voice calls over the Wi-Fi and Cellular data only.

Walkie-Talkie is a highly requested feature by the regular users of Microsoft. The company is receiving regular feedback from its users about the improvements to their existing services. The new Walkie-Talkie feature will be used by many companies for the communication between their community and members.

If we talk about the initial phase, this new integration primarily developed for the first-line workers or for the members who are engaging with other persons or workers on a daily basis within the company.

We have a lot of apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Slack which are highly used by the companies for easy communication with their team and members. However, none of them has the Walkie-Talkie feature inside.

The same feature was introduced by Apple with its Apple Smart Watch as a Push to Talk feature within the FaceTime app. And now, Microsoft is also walking on the same path to provide the innovative Walkie-Talkie feature with Microsoft Teams. It will provide clear and instant communication without any noise in between.

The company is planning to introduce the new Walkie-Talkie feature with a set of other management features at  NRF in New York City next week. We will get to see more information about this new venture of Microsoft in the coming days.
