Microsoft Resumes Windows 10 October 2018 Update After Being Pulled Last Month

After its cancellation last month, Microsoft has finally re-released the Windows 10 October 2018 update. Previously, a bug has forced the company to cancel out the update before, as some users has stated issues regarding the update. Now, Microsoft claims that the update is carefully being rolled out to avoid such issues again.

Shortly after the update was released last month, a lot of users were complaining about losing important files after updating their machines. Some beta users had received the update earlier, and it was only generally released now. According to the company, a thorough research and investigation has been made to fix the issue.

“In addition to extensive internal validation, we have taken time to closely monitor feedback and diagnostic data from our Windows Insiders and from the millions of devices on the Windows 10 October Update, and we have no further evidence of data loss,” John Cable says, the director of program management for Windows servicing and delivery.

Microsoft will now implement “a more measured approach” in terms of releasing the update. “If we detect that your device may have an issue, such as an application incompatibility, we will not install the update until that issue is resolved, even if you ‘Check for updates,’ so you avoid encountering any related problems,” Cable says.

Windows 10 October 2018 Update will now roll out for a small number of users. To see if the update is now available for you, check for updates for it to be installed. But if there is not any, don’t worry as Microsoft will make sure that your computer is at the best fit first before making it available for you.  Stay tuned with TechnoCodex to be always updated.
