For now, the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family subscription is available in Colombia and Ireland and the company has confirmed that more countries/regions will be added in the next months in its FAQ section.
The new Xbox Game Pass membership allows users to share the service with up to four people which means one subscription can have a total of five accounts. The company hasn’t put restrictions as such about with whom someone can share the subscription except they need to be in the same country. For instance, if the subscription plan has been purchased in Colombia, then it can be shared with other people living in Colombia only. Also, one member can be a part of one subscription plan at a time.
Apart from that, the company has also announced the pricing of the Xbox Game Pass Family subscription. The subscription plan costs €21.99 per month in Ireland and 49,900 COP in Colombia.
As of now, the company hasn’t revealed the pricing for other regions. However, The Verge has claimed that it may cost around $25 in the US.
As far as benefits are concerned, the Xbox Games Pass Family & Friends plan will offer more or less similar benefits as the regular Xbox Games Pass Ultimate benefits. It will also include multiplayer capabilities, EA Access, both console and PC subscriptions, Xbox Gold Live and more.
The existing customers can also move to the family plan. However, Microsoft will be doing some calculations based on the remaining time of the existing plan. Take a look at the table below:
