Microsoft announces today a refreshed version of Surface Book 2 which was launched back in 2017. Until now, the Surface Book 2 comes with a base configuration with dual-core 7th-generation Intel Core-i5 processor and the other models were loaded with powerful quad-core 8th-generation Core-i7 processors. But now, Microsoft has refreshed its 13-inch Surface Book 2 with a more powerful 8th Gen quad-core Intel i5 processor.
Even after loading with a comparatively more powerful processor, the new version is not much costly than the base variant. Keeping the base variant available at a price tag of $1,299, the refreshed more powerful variant goes for $1,499. The refreshed Surface Book 2 comes with an i5-8350U which has the maximum clock speed of 3.6GHz.
Apart from a powerful processor, Microsoft has left everything the same as that of the older variant. However, a great hike in the performance can be clearly observed with octa-core i5 processor. Microsoft has quietly refreshed the Surface Book 2 which seems to be scheduled on the Surface Event going to held on April 17 in New York City.
At this event, the company is expected to give a detailed view of the pricing and availability of the Surface Book 2. TechnoCodex will cover the Surface NYC event, so, keep updated with us.
